The Development of the Export and Import of Maluku Province in March 2019

Exports of Maluku in March 2019 reached US$ 0.84 million or increased by around 51.09 percent compared to exports in February 2019. Cumulatively, the value of Maluku's exports in January-March 2019 amounting to US$ 2.51 million, also increased by 118.83 percent compared to the value in the same period in 2018. Meanwhile, imports of Maluku in March 2019 reached US$ 13.47 million, increased by around 7.77 percent compared to imports in February 2019 (US$ 12.50). However, cumulatively, the import value of Maluku in January-March 2019 reached US$ 39.03 million or decreased by 70.68 percent compared to the cumulative import value in the same period in 2018.

Maluku's exports in March 2019 came from the non-oil and gas sector, while Maluku's imports came from the oil and gas sector and non-oil and gas sector. Maluku's export destination countries in March 2019 were Japan, Hong Kong, the United States, Singapore and Malaysia with the largest exports was addressed to Japan which was worth US$ 0.31 million. Meanwhile, during January-March 2019, Maluku's import origin countries were Singapore and Malaysia with the largest import valued at US$ 28.40 originating from Singapore.
