The Development of the Foreign Trade of Maluku Province in February 2019

Exports in Maluku Province in February 2019 reached 0.55 million or decreased by around 50.66 percent compared to exports in January 2019. Nonetheless, cumulatively, Maluku's export value in the period of January to February 2019 was US $ 1.68 million, increased by 599.38 percent compared to the value of exports in Maluku in the same period in 2018.

On the other hand, the import value in Maluku Province in February 2019 reached US $ 12.50 million or decreased by around 4.60 percent compared to the import value in January 2019 (US $ 13.06 million). Cumulatively, Maluku's import value from January to February 2019 amounted to 25.56 million also decreased by 59.85 percent compared to the value of imports in Maluku in the same period in 2018.

Exports in Maluku in February 2019 came from the non-oil and gas sector, while the commodities of imports came from the oil and gas sector and non-oil and gas sector. Maluku's export destination countries, namely the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Japan, while the import origin countries were Singapore and Malaysia. The largest export were recorded at US $ 0.22 million to the United States, while the largest import came from Singapore with a value of US $ 19.06 million.
